Description
This is session designed to provide physiotherapists with strategies on how to use online platforms to mentor colleagues within the AIM or other accredited programs.
Objectives
- Establish goal setting and expectations between the mentor and mentee
- Describe and demonstrate the following strategies for e-mentoring one or more mentees:
- Clinical Vignette development with clinical reasoning questions to meet the mentee's clinical reasoning goals
- Case development with structured questions to meet the mentee's clinical reasoning goals
- Assessment of a patient via zoom or Facetime and how to provide structured feedback (discussion regarding consent and privacy will accompany this objective)
- Clinical skills assessment and feedback via zoom or Facetime and how to provide structured feedback
- Describe and demonstrate how to increase complexity of the above strategies as the mentee progresses.

Presenter: Jackie Sadi (BSc(PT) MSc, FCAMPT)
Jackie Sadi (BSc(PT) MSc, FCAMPT) is a licensed physical therapist and a full–time lecturer in the School of Physical Therapy and is a graduate of Western University for both her BSc (PT) and MSc. She has practiced as a physiotherapist within hospital settings, owned her own private clinics and consults on complex musculoskeletal non-surgical cases across Ontario.
She is currently the Field Leader for the Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy field within the Advanced Health Care Program in FHS. She is the recipient of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association “Clinical Specialist designation in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy” in 2012, Western University Marilyn Robinson teaching award in 2014, the Canadian Physiotherapy Orthopedic Golden Hands Award in 2017, CAMPT Lifetime membership award in 2023, the Canadian Physiotherapy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024 and the CPA Orthopedic Division Carol Kennedy Teaching Award in 2025.
