The webinar will be an overview of exercise in older adults with consideration of the pelvic floor. We wish to discuss common pelvic floor issues like incontinence and identify strategies to improve those issues. It will be a 45 minute talk with 15 minutes left for Q&A.
Instructor Biographies
Dr. Christina Prevett is the Division Lead, Institute of Clinical Excellence (Geriatrics and Pelvic).
Dr. Christina Ziebart is the chair of the Seniors Health Division.

The instructors


Pelvic and Reproductive Health Division (formerly Women's Health Division) is a not-for-profit division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) that is managed, operated, and advanced by volunteers with a passion for women’s health. We are a dynamic organization, national in scope, that effectively facilitates communication, education and service delivery for physiotherapy practitioners on topics specific to women’s health.
Our mission is to provide leadership and direction to members of the CPA for the advancement of physiotherapy practice in women’s health by fostering excellence in practice, education, and research for the benefit of Canadians.
We aim to:
- Acquire and make available information and educational materials
- Encourage and develop the publication of research in the field
- Facilitate communication between and among members
- Promote ongoing professional development
- Enhance physiotherapy service delivery specific to women’s health and/or pelvic health.

The Seniors’ Health Division (SHD) is a special interest group within the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. SHD is committed to providing members with services related to older adult health and physiotherapy practice.
It is comprised of physiotherapists from across Canada who work with older adults in a variety of practice settings, including acute geriatric care, geriatric rehabilitative and restorative units, long term care settings, community based and home care settings.
SHD is a member of The International Association of Physical Therapists working with Older Persons.

Mission of the Seniors' Health Division: To support our members in providing excellent physiotherapy care to optimize the independence and quality of life of older adults.
